The House Of The Medan District Court Judge Is On Fire, The Chief Justice Of The Supreme Court Asks To Avoid Speculation
JAKARTA - Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (MA) Sunarto asked all parties to avoid speculation regarding the cause of the fire that hit the private house of the Medan District Court (PN) judge, North Sumatra, Khamozaro Waruwu.
MA spokesman Yanto said the head of the Supreme Court requested that all parties wait for the results of the investigation by law enforcement officials regarding the cause of the fire.
"In response to the news that developed in the mass media due to the fire that occurred at the house of Judge Khamozaro, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court asked all parties to exercise restraint and avoid speculation about the cause of the fire by giving time and being patient waiting for the results of the police investigation," said Yanto as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 10.
Judge Khamozaro's private house caught fire on Tuesday (4/11). The fire broke out when he handled a case that attracted public attention, namely the alleged corruption of a road project in North Sumatra.
The leadership of the Supreme Court expressed concern about the consequences and losses suffered by Judge Khamozaro.
The chairman of the Supreme Court also ordered the Directorate General of the General Court, the Medan High Court, and the Medan District Court to take quick and precise steps to overcome all the consequences of the incident.
"The chairman of the Supreme Court has ordered the Chairman of the Medan High Court to report the chronology of the incident," said Yanto.
In addition, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has sent a team directly to Medan to see firsthand the condition of Judge Khamozaro. According to Yanto, the team is solely in order to provide moral support, not conduct internal investigations.
"The Supreme Court team is not an investigation, yes. All investigations have been submitted to law enforcement. We'll just have to wait for the results," he said.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the Central Executive Board (PP) of the Indonesian Panel of Judges (Ikahi) Yasardin asked law enforcement officials to seriously investigate the fire at Judge Khamozaro's private house.
"PP Ikahi expressed his deep condolences and hoped that the authorities would investigate the cause of the fire so that a serious investigation would be carried out, what actually caused the fire," said Yasardin in Jakarta, Thursday (6/11).
He explained that the fire hit Khamozaro's private house on Tuesday (4/11) morning. According to information from Khamozaro, the only part of the room that caught fire was the main room, where important documents and valuables were stored.
"Fortunately, the fire did not spread to other places, apart from the main room which is located in the middle of the house. As a result of the fire, all the documents and valuables were stored on fire, only clothes on the body were left," he said.
Ikahi did not want to speculate whether or not there was a connection between the incident and the case being handled by Khamozaro. Ikahi fully left this to the police.
"If it is true that this fire has something to do with the case he is currently resolving, this is a terror against our colleagues because they are carrying out their duties and obligations as judges and this will hinder law enforcement in Indonesia," he said.
It is known that Khamozaro is the chairman of the panel of judges who handled the alleged corruption case of a road project in North Sumatra that dragged the former Head of the North Sumatra PUPR Service, Topan Ginting, and the President Director of PT Dalihan Na Tolu, Akhirun Piliang Group, aka Kirun and his son Rayhan Dulasmi from PT Rona Mora.
