This Is The Difference Between The J6T And J6 Standard Chery Electric Cars

JAKARTA Chery J6T was officially introduced as the latest and highest variant of the J6 electric SUV family. This model comes with a number of updates ranging from dimensions, design, to technology, showing Chery's steps in strengthening its electric vehicle portfolio.

PT Chery Sales Indonesia's Vice Country Director PR, Budi Darmawan, explained that J6T is designed with a touch of improvement in every detail to provide a more mature and modern driving experience.

"J6T comes with a firm character with a geometric line and also creates a modern masculine look and makes you appear confident. J6T is more than just a vehicle, this model comes as a modern icon that ensures practicality and ideals are used by those who dare to appear stylish with uniqueness," said Budi in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, Saturday, November 8.

In terms of appearance, J6T brings changes to the front and back bumpers, a more assertive front hood, to a more prominent feder. The dimensions are also growing, with a length of 4,433 mm, a width of 1,916 mm, a height of 1,741 mm, and a ground clearance of 225 mm.

The standard J6 variant has a slightly smaller dimension, including a 200 mm ground clearance. The car also uses a 19-inch rim with a 245/55 R19 tire and offers a new color called the Red Matrix.

For performance, J6T is available in two choices of driving systems, namely RWD and iWD. The RWD variant is equipped with a single motorcycle of 135 kW with a torque of 220 Nm and is capable of accelerating 0100 km/hour of about 10.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, the iWD variant carries two 70 kW motors in front and 135 kW behind with a total power of 205 kW and 385 Nm torque, resulting in an acceleration of 0100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Both variants use LFP batteries.

The RWD variant has a capacity of 65.69 kWh with a distance of up to 431 kilometers (NEDC), while the iWD variant uses a 69.77 kWh battery that can cover 436 kilometers. Fast charging of up to 100 kW allows the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 25 minutes

Chery plans to feature J6T publicly at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025 event at the end of November. However, the official price has not yet been announced. Initial orders have been opened, including a number of advantages such as life-long battery guarantees, installing wall charging at no additional cost, and bonus special accessories.
