Anticipate Donations, DKI Parks Service Cuts Trees Simultaneously
JAKARTA The DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service (Distamhut) held simultaneous tree pruning activities in various areas of the capital to prevent potential trees from falling due to extreme weather.
"This simultaneous support activity is a real effort to minimize the potential danger of falling trees in the midst of extreme weather conditions," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Distamhut Green Line Division, Herlina Melinda, after the readiness meeting in Jakarta, Sunday (9/11).
He ensured that all ranks, from the service level to the sub-district, were on standby with complete equipment in the field to ensure that activities were carried out safely and effectively.
The cuts are carried out at various strategic points. At the official level, the cross section is carried out on Jalan Teuku Umar and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan (Central Jakarta), as well as on Jalan Gatot Subroto next to BRIPENS in front of The Tower (South Jakarta).
For Central Jakarta, similar activities were also carried out on Jalan Cideng Barat, Jayakarta, Kramat Raya, Bungur, Cimandiri Cikini, Kebon Kacang, to Kramat Pulo Tanah Tinggi.

In North Jakarta, officers moved on Jalan Koja, Cilincing, Pademangan, and Kelapa Gading. Meanwhile in West Jakarta, the support was carried out on Jalan Tanjung Duren Barat, Palmerah, Tamansari, Cengkareng, Kembangan, Tambora, Kebon Jeruk, and Kalideres.
For South Jakarta, the activity points include Jalan Soepomo, Galunggung Guntur, Adyaksa 3, Iskandarmuda, Dharmawangsa VIII, to around Jalan Guru Amin, Pancoran.
Meanwhile, in East Jakarta, activities are focused on Rajiman Cakung Street, Pondok Bambu Revolution Heroes, Jatinegara Otista, Ahmad Yani Pulo Gadung, Halim Perdanakusumah, TB Simatupang Ciracas, and Raya Bogor "Hankam".
" Simultaneous support is not only focused on the safety aspect of the community, but is also part of efforts to maintain a sustainable urban ecosystem," said Herlina.
According to him, this step is at the same time to increase the preparedness of personnel, facilities, and infrastructure to deal with the potential for extreme weather in the DKI Jakarta area.
Based on the forecast of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the intensity of rain and strong winds in Jakarta is expected to increase until the end of 2025.
