BPBD Ciamis Conducts Assessment At 12 Landslides Due To Heavy Rain
The CIAMIS - assessment is now being carried out by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Ciamis Regency, West Java by deploying teams against 12 locations hit by landslides and then taking action so as not to have a danger or interfere with people's mobilization.
"Yes, we are currently assessing, there are currently 12 disaster locations," said Ciamis Regency BPBD Chief Executive Ani Supiani when contacted via cell phone in Ciamis, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 8.
He said that high rainfall lasted a long time in the Ciamis area on Friday (7/11) causing natural disasters such as landslides in a number of places.
Temporary reports at this time, he said, there were 12 landslide locations that closed the road, damaged infrastructure, and also residents' houses. Luckily the incident did not cause any casualties, only material losses.
"There were no casualties, if the material is still being calculated, the assessment is fast," said Ani.

Furthermore, cliffs and landslide irrigation in Muktisari Village, Cipaku District, landslides in Payungagung Village, Panumbangan District, then in Kertayasa Village, Panawangan District, and landslides in Bendasari Village, Sadana District.
Furthermore, landslides occurred in Sindangsari Village, Kawali District, Mekarwangi Village, Sukamantri District, and landslides in Bayasari Village, Jatinagara District.
Ani said that currently it has entered the rainy season which must be watched out for potential natural disasters.
The Regent of Ciamis, said Ani, has set a hydrometeorological disaster emergency alert status until April 30, 2026, which instructs all levels of local government and community to be on standby.
