Not only at the press conference, Nawat also again apologized while attending the Miss Universe contestant reception on the same day.
In front of the delegates standing behind him, he emphasized the respect of each participant.
"I have no intention of harming anyone. I really respect all of you," he said. "I'm sorry. If anyone feels uncomfortable with the incident, once again I'm really sorry."
This apology comes after the video of the dispute between Nawat and Fryptima Bosch went viral on social media. The incident occurred in an event before the main competition, which was broadcast live via Miss Universe Thailand's Facebook.
In the video, Nawat is seen reprimanding Bosch for allegedly not participating in the sponsorship photo shoot. He called the Mexican representative in public and questioned him.
'Mexico, where are you?' Nawat asked before Bosch explained.
But the situation then heated up when Nawat called Bosch a 'dumbhead' or stupid. Bosch replied by stating, 'I have a voice. You don't respect me as a woman.'
The fight ended with Nawat calling security officers to get Bosch out of the room. This action sparked protests from the participants. More than a dozen contestants left the room as a form of solidarity for Bosch.
Miss Universe President Ra hot Rocha Can'tmen criticized Nawat's actions. He said Nurawat had demeaned and intimidated Bosch. Cant aired also announced that he would send other representatives to take over the management of events in Thailand.
According to him, the act of calling for security to remove Bosch is a form of abuse of power that cannot be justified.
Through her Instagram account, Nawat again clarified and apologized. He admitted that he had tried hard to make the event run fairly, but admitted that he had limited patience.
"Sorry to the fans of Miss Universe. I'm just an ordinary human being who has emotional limits," she wrote. "Sorry again if someone feels uncomfortable"
