National Police Chief: SMAN 72 Burst Perpetrators Are Still Operating In Hospitals

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said an alleged perpetrator of the explosion of the SMAN 72 Jakarta building had been found by the police but the person is currently still undergoing surgery at the hospital (RS).

Therefore, the police have not been able to interrogate the perpetrators of the explosion until he has finished undergoing surgery and his health condition allows them to be examined by the police.

"For the alleged perpetrators, we have now obtained. Members (Polri, ed) are conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the identity of the perpetrators, then also the environment of the perpetrators, including houses and other things that we are currently investigating, and of course they will be informed further after the joint team from the Polda Metro Jaya, Densus, carried out an in-depth investigation," said National Police Chief General Sigit as reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 7.

A total of two people underwent surgery due to the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta, which was inside the Kelapa Gading Navy Housing Complex, North Jakarta, Friday afternoon at 12.15 WIB.

"One of the current operations is the alleged perpetrator, and for the motive, we are currently exploring various kinds of information. Of course we will collect it so that it becomes unanimous information when informed (to the public, ed.)," said Listyo.

The explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta resulted in about tens of people being injured, but most of the victims had received treatment and returned to their respective homes.

"At the beginning, the number of victims (injured, ed.) was 50 or 60, but now Alhamdulilah has made a post, and the victims are now able to return home gradually," said the National Police Chief.

Sigit confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the explosion.

From the results of the examination at the location of the explosion, the National Police Chief said that the police found a toy gun and writings.

"This is also a part that we are exploring to explore the motive for how the person concerned assembles and carries out his actions. We will explain everything after all the information, findings in the field, the results of further investigations and investigations are complete," continued the National Police Chief.
