Denpasar City Government Ensures That The Process Of Preparation Of Candidates For Principals Is In Accordance With National Regulations

DENPASAR - Denpasar City Education, Youth and Sports Office (Disdikpora) denied any issues related to the appointment of a new school principal within the Denpasar City Government.

Head of the Denpasar City Education, Youth and Sports Office, Anak Agung Gede Wiratama, denied that information circulating on social media about the Office was opening registration of prospective school principals in Denpasar City.

According to Agung Wiratama, information regarding the placement of presidential candidates and the opening of the registration of the presidential candidate is not true.

He said what was actually happening was the ongoing selection to take part in the training for prospective school principals (BCKS) carried out by the regions using a system provided by the center facilitated by the Teacher and Education Personnel Center (BGTK).

"Disdikpora Denpasar is currently only conducting administrative selection to prepare for the training of prospective school principals, not the process of appointing positions," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 7.

He explained that the Disdikpora had massively socialized the Permendikdasmen Number 7 of 2025 which regulates the assignment of teachers as school principals.

The first socialization was carried out on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 for West Denpasar and North Denpasar Districts, then continued Wednesday, October 29, 2025 for East Denpasar and South Denpasar. Meanwhile, for the junior high school level, the socialization was held Monday, November 3, 2025 at the SMPN 2 Hall in Denpasar.

"This activity aims to make school principals and prospective principals understand the changes in paradigms and new provisions related to the role, position, and function of school principals. Where, Permendikdasmen Number 7 of 2025 replaces the previous regulation, namely Permendikbudistek Number 40 of 2021," he said.

Agung Wiratama said that the request for the facilitation of the cooperation agreement (PKS) for the implementation of the prospective school principal (BCKS) between the Denpasar City Government and the Ministry of Education and Culture was only agreed on October 28, 2025 after the BKPSDM and Disdikpora coordinated directly to the BGTK of Bali Province.

Furthermore, the signing of the PKS between the BGTK of Bali Province and the Denpasar City BKPSDM is set for November 3, 2025.

The results of coordination with BGTK Bali Province agreed that prospective BCKS participants in 2025 with priority considerations for 2025 are filling school principals in educational units that do not yet have a definitive principal.

Therefore, it was determined that prospective BCKS training participants were teachers whose names were already in the KSPSTK system.

Wiratama emphasized that Denpasar City Disdikpora is committed to improving the quality of education. So that the implementation of BCKS training for school principals who do not yet have a certificate based on Permendikdasmen Number 7 of 2025 and the Minister of Education and Culture No. 129/P of 2025 will be held in 2026.

The principal who is currently still in office continues to carry out his duties until the end of his assignment period and can be given a re-assigned as school principal in accordance with the requirements in the provisions of the legislation even though he does not yet have a training certificate for prospective school principal candidates.

"The results of the analysis of school principal data based on the first assignment period and maximum age to take part in the BCKS training, which has not yet entered the age of 56 years and 0 months, namely, the principal who is currently occupying the first period and will end from December 2025 to December 2027 will be trained in early 2026," he said.

The number of principals who will end their first period until December 2027 is 88 people, who are more than 56 years old on November 1, 2025, as many as 25 people and as many as 63 people will be trained in early 2026 (compared with participant data that appears in the KSPSTK system).

The selected participants have met the requirements in accordance with the provisions contained in Permendikdasmen Number 7 of 2025 and Permendikdasmen Number 129/P of 2025.

Agung Wiratama said the results of the coordination between BKPSDM, Disdikpora and BGTK Bali Province were also agreed on a schedule for the selection of prospective participants to be held on October 29, 2025. The invitation to the administrative selection of prospective participants was made on October 29, 2025 and uploaded to KSPSTK on the same date.

From the results of the administrative selection, 55 people have passed the selection and will then follow the selection of substance through a system provided by the KSPSTK Directorate.

From the results of the selection, substance will be carried out by the KSPSTK Directorate through a system set by 30 people to be trained.

"Prospective BCKS training participants received an administrative selection invitation on October 29, 2025 through their respective GTK rooms. The administrative selection will be held from October 29 to November 1, 2025. The selection of substance on November 4, 2025. We ensure that all stages carried out by the Denpasar Disdikpora are in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.
