Rizki Juniansyah Wants To Set A Record At The 2025 SEA Games
JAKARTA Rizki Juniansyah is eager to break the record when appearing at the 2025 SEA Games which will take place in Thailand, later this year.
The athlete who was born in Serang, Banten, is one of 12 names to be sent to this biennial event. He is still a champion of contributing to the Indonesian contingent.
Rizki, who was a huge success in the previous edition of the SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia, wants to make history again in this year's edition.
"I want to repeat my achievements at the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games, and even want to set a new record and win a gold medal again," Rizki said as quoted by Antara.

Previously, when he appeared in Cambodia, the lifter who won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics managed to break three records at once and bring home the gold medal in the 73 kg class.
One gold medal that Rizki managed to bring home was obtained in total force of 347 kg. This number consists of 156 kg of snatch and 191 kg of clean and jerk.
The three records that he set were in total force, snatch, and clean and jerk, which previously belonged to other Indonesian lifters, namely Rahmat Erwin Abdullah.
"The opponent (at the 2025 SEA Games) will definitely be strong, but it's still normal to see him. I believe that if he can perform optimally and can achieve the best for himself," said Rizki.
In Thailand later, Rizki will no longer be in the 73 kg number which is his mainstay but at 79 kg, which has just been changed by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) since the middle of this year.
The 2025 SEA Games will take place on December 9-20. Indonesia came there with a target to finish in third place in the final standings for medals.
