Ancelotti Is Not Afraid Of Real Madrid Drama, Still Call Vinicius

JAKARTA - Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti is not worried about Vinicius Junior following the striker's recent anger at being replaced in the El Clasico match between Real Madrid vs Barcelona.

The attacker has apologized to his Real Madrid teammates for causing a commotion after being replaced in a 2-1 win over Barcelona on October 26, 2025 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The incident did not come too much attention to Ancelotti as the former Los Blancos manager announced the Brazil squad on Monday, November 3, 2025, local time, for two friendly matches in November 2025.

"We have a good relationship with Vinicius, just like with other players. I've spoken to Vinicius about it."

"I express my opinion that he did make a mistake. He understood his mistake and had apologized."

"I'm sure this problem is over. He's a very important player for us. He can really help us."

"He has no problems here, at his club, or with his coach (Xabi Alonso). About his personal life, that's his business, I'm not his father or brother, I'm just his coach," said Ancelotti.

Ancelotti included Vinicius in his squad for the upcoming friendly against Senegal and Tunisia.

Brazil will face Senegal on November 15, 2025 at London Emirates Stadium and meet Tunisia on November 18 at the Decathlon Lille Stadium.

Defenders Flamengo, Danilo, and Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque, who will face each other in the Copa Libertadores final on November 29, 2025, are among seven domestic players on Ancelotti's cast list.

"We have called in players who I think can help the Brazilian National Team (Timnas) in these two matches."

"Players from Flamengo and Roque from Palmeiras, who played very well," said the Italian coach

Brazil's all-time top scorer, Neymar, who returned to play for Santos last weekend after being sidelined for 48 days with a muscle injury, has not yet been on the list.

"I haven't spoken to Neymar yet. We'll see when he can fully recover and play again," said Ancelotti.

Brazil will face their last two games this year with the determination to make up for a surprising 2-3 defeat to Japan in a friendly match in October 2025.

"In the last two games, we made changes to the team to test some players. I'm sure the tests we did were going well because we were able to evaluate some players we didn't know well," said Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, Brazil's national team coordinator, Rodrigo Caetano, confirmed that Team Samba will play two friendly matches in March 2026 in the United States against two unconfirmed European teams.
