Korea Masters 2025: Ni Kadek Pelihara Harapan Tunggal Putri
JAKARTA - Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi fought through a three-game match in the first round of the Korea Masters 2025 to keep Indonesia's women's singles hopes alive.
He rose from the loss of the first game against third seed Sung Shuo Yun from China Taipei and ended the match with a score of 17-21, 21-10, and 21-19 on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
"I'm happy to be able to win today's match. Everyone is tired that was felt in this long match to be lost. I am grateful to be able to play freely without a burden," said Ni Kadek after the match.
The first game didn't go easy for Ni Kadek even though he had taken the lead early in the game. After 3-2, he lost five points in a row and couldn't turn things around again.

He then took the lead from the start of the second game and appeared dominant not to be overtaken again after the 3-3 position. Furthermore, in the third game the game was tighter because both players took turns leading.
"Earlier in the last three games I was 17-19 behind, but the coach (Nunung Subandoro) continued to encourage and remind that the match was not over."
"I tried to defend because the opponent was also difficult to turn off, the most important thing was that the ball entered first, didn't make any mistakes myself," said Ni Kadek.
Ni Kadek, who is the only Indonesian women's singles to participate in this tournament, will then meet representatives of China Taipei again, namely Tung Ciou-Tong.
He is confident that he can get through the match and advance long into the semifinals in his debut appearance at the BWF Super 300 level tournament.
"In my debut in Super 300, I want to try to move as far as possible, my personal target is to the semifinals. I want to maximize the opportunities that have been given," he said.
Apart from Ni Kadek, Yohanes Saut Marcellyno also managed to secure victory. He stopped Riki Takei rubber games 21-16, 11-21, and 21-13 to reach the second half.
This is Saut's third win in the tournament. Two previously he got in the qualifying round. In the second round later, he met first seed Jia Heng Jason Teh from Singapore.
