NTB Prosecutor's Office Ready To Help Complete 65 Hectare Land Dispute In Gili Trawangan
The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has stated that it is ready to help resolve the 65 hectare land dispute which is an asset of the NTB Provincial Government, the former management of PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI), in the Gili Trawangan tourist area.
Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Wahyudi, said that the support had been realized through the establishment of a task force (task) to resolve the land dispute of former PT GTI.
"We are involved in the task force, yes. There is a civil assistant and state administration (asdatun) involved. Later, the task force will jointly formulate and resolve the problems in Gili Trawangan," Wahyudi said in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, November 4.
Regarding the six legal points of opinion or legal opinion from the NTB Prosecutor's State Attorney which was issued in 2021, Wahyudi said that his party would re-learn its relevance.
Itu memang kajian lama. Apakah masih relevan untuk digunakan, nanti satgas yang akan menilai. Termasuk soal tata kelola Gili Trawangan, itu ranah pemerintah provinsi," ujarnya.
In addition to supporting the rescue of neglected assets since PT GTI only operated one year after the signing of the cooperation in 1997, the NTB Prosecutor's Office also handled the corruption aspect in the case.
"We (Kejati NTB) have handled it in terms of corruption. We enter from that side," he said.
In the corruption case, the NTB Prosecutor's Office has named three suspects, namely the Head of UPTD Gili Tramena, the NTB Tourism Office with the initials MK, and two private parties with the initials IA and AA.
Investigators detained two suspects, MK and AA, at the Class IIA Prison in West Lombok, while IA, a female businessman who is also convicted of drug cases, is still serving a sentence at the Mataram Class III Prison.
As a legal step, the prosecutor's office has installed security signs on two business locations belonging to IA and AA in the 65 hectare dispute area in Gili Trawangan. The public accounting firm's audit also found a state financial loss of Rp1.4 billion.
"In the near future, the case files of the three suspects will be submitted to the public prosecutor for trial at the Mataram Corruption Court," said Wahyudi.
Previously, the Governor of NTB Lalu Muhamad Iqbal paid attention to the land dispute and formed a dispute resolution task force.
"We need a task force that discusses comprehensively, starting from legal issues, land, to water," said Iqbal.
