Jambi Police Arrest 2 Truck Drivers Transporting 32 Tons Of Illegal Solar

Jambi Police arrested two drivers of illegal oil-fuel trucks (BBM) in two different locations, namely in Muaro Jambi Regency and Jambi City. From the hands of the two, the police confiscated 32 tons of processed diesel oil.

"The perpetrators with the initials SY and RAR were arrested while transporting processed diesel fuel using a tronton tank car," said Head of Sub-Directorate IV Tipidter Ditreskrimsus Jambi Police Commissioner Hadi Handoko during a press conference in Jambi, Antara, Tuesday, November 4.

This case was revealed on Saturday, November 1, at around 08.00 WIB, after the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus Sub-Directorate IV team received information about illegal fuel transportation activities using a blue and white tank truck from an illegal oil processing site in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.

After checking, the team found a tank truck with the words PT NBS with the police number BK 6946 GL on Jalan Lintas Jambi Palembang, precisely in Pondok Desk Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency.

Shortly thereafter, officers chased another tank truck with the police number BK 8002 GM and managed to stop it on Jalan Lingkar Selatan, Kenali Besar Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City.

Two tank truck drivers who are now named as suspects admitted that the fuel they were transporting came from the illegal oil processing site in Musi Banyuasin and the plan was to be taken to the PT NBS garage in Pekanbaru City, Riau.

"The illegal BBM will be taken to the PT NBS garage in Pekanbaru," said Hadi.

The evidence that was secured included two blue and white tronton tank trucks and processed diesel as much as 32,589 liters or the equivalent of 32 tons.

The two suspects were charged with Article 54 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (1) of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas and/or Article 480 of the 1st Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of six years and a fine of up to IDR 60 billion.
