Suspect In Samota MXGP Land Case Immediately Announced, NTB Prosecutor's Office Waits For BPK Audit

The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati NTB) stated that the determination of the suspect in the alleged corruption case in the purchase of 70 hectares of land for the construction of the Samota Motocross Grand Prix Circuit (MXGP) in Sumbawa Regency is now just waiting for the results of an audit from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"So, just waiting for the calculation (loss audit)," said Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Muh. Zulkifli Said in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, November 4.

Zulkifli said that his party had scheduled an exposure with the BPK to discuss the results of the audit on Thursday, November 6.

"Thursday tomorrow we will do the exposure," he said.

In the investigation process, investigators from the NTB Prosecutor's Office have examined a number of related parties, ranging from Sumbawa Regency Government officials to land sellers who are known to be former East Lombok Regent, Ali Bin Dachlan.

"Finally, investigators examined the Public Appraisal Service Team (JPP) with the initials MJ on Friday, October 24," said Zulkifli.

MJ is known to be part of the appraisal team in the process of selling the land. The AGO is investigating allegations of irregularities in the sale and purchase of land for the national sports project.

This case rolled out after allegations of inflating the purchase price of 70 hectares of land which was reported to have reached Rp53 billion. In addition, there are indications that the land purchase process is not carried out according to official procedures regulated by the government.
