The Tulungagung-Trenggalek Wilis Line Is Reopened After The Landslide Cleaning
TULUNGAGUNG - Access road connecting Tulungagung and Trenggalek Regencies through the Wilis Selingkar route on Kradinan Village, Pagerwojo District, has been reopened for two-wheeled vehicles after the landslide material was successfully cleared in stages.
Kasi Trantib, Pagerwojo District, Yasriant, explained that the cleaning of the landslide material only reached around 50 percent until Monday morning, but at that time the lane could be passed by motorbikes.
"Now it can be passed for two wheels," said Yasrianto as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 3.
Cleaning efforts can only be carried out optimally since the morning after heavy equipment arrives and is deployed to landslide locations on Saturday (1/11) night.
This landslide occurred on the cliff on the side of the Selingkar Wilis road, right next to SDN 2 Kradinan, and had cut off the total access of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles along about 50100 meters with a material thickness of 5080 cm.
Forpimcam Pagerwojo together with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) have gone down to the location to monitor conditions and bring in heavy equipment as a priority for road normalization.
Officers also warn road users to remain careful, especially when it rains or at night, because the landslide slopes still show cracks and potential follow-up.
"We urge the public to temporarily choose alternative routes and not force themselves to cross if conditions are not safe," said Pangerwojo Police Chief AKP Guruh Yudhi Setiawan.
The success of opening the two-wheeled lane is an initial sign of access stabilization. However, four-wheeled vehicles are still unable to pass and are still diverted through alternative routes until road conditions are completely safe.
