Malaysia Urges RSF To Stop Massacre

JAKARTA - Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan urged that the violence in Sudan be stopped immediately, and a ceasefire was imposed immediately.

"Malaysia, together with the rest of the world, witnessed the horror of how the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued to carry out the massacre and created one of the world's largest evacuation and hunger crises in Sudan," Malaysia's Foreign Minister said.

According to Hasan, the scale of brutality that occurs is very despicable, as can be seen from satellite images showing blood covering the city of El Fasher, which he sees as bloodstains for all mankind.

"This is completely unacceptable to conscience," he said.

He stated that these unreasonable acts of extreme violence must be stopped immediately.

"Malaysia joins other members of the international community in demanding an immediate ceasefire, as well as for the RSF to open up humanitarian corridors so that aid and supplies can be distributed to the people in El Fasher and all affected areas in Darfur," he explained.

He called on the world not to allow the resurgence of genocide in Darfur.

"We must not allow the dark round of history to repeat itself," he said.
