Police Investigate Allegations Of Counterfeiting SNI And Halal Labels For Free Nutrition Eating Programs

North Jakarta Metro Police are investigating allegations of exchanging Indonesian National Standards (SNI) labels and installing halal labels that do not comply with the provisions of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) conducted by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Ancol, Pademangan.

"North Jakarta Metro Police through the Criminal Investigation Unit checked one of the shophouses in the Ancol area, Pademangan, on Friday, October 31," said North Jakarta Metro Police Head of Public Relations Ipda Maryati Jonggi in Jakarta, Sunday, November 2.

According to him, the check was carried out to follow up on public reports regarding the alleged use of fake SNI labels and halal logos that did not comply with the provisions.

"Currently we are still investigating it further," he said.

In the report, it was stated that there was an alleged replacement of the label from 'Made in China' to 'Made in Indonesia' in the goods used in the MBG Program.

Police investigators are still conducting investigations in the field to confirm the truth of the allegation.

Maryati emphasized that in this initial examination no party had been detained or goods had been confiscated from the scene.

"We are still checking the beginning and deepening," he said.
