Two UN Special Reporters Condemn World's Abai Attitude On Israel's Cruelty
JAKARTA - Two UN special whistleblowers strongly condemn the international community's neglect of Israel's atrocities against Palestinian women and girls amid ongoing attacks in Gaza.
Reem Alalem, UN Special Reporter for violence against women and girls, condemned the world's noise over the massacres and intense suffering experienced by Palestinian women.
"The massacre of thousands of Palestinian women and daughters as well as the unimaginable suffering they experience is clear evidence that the world no longer cares," Alalem said in a UN panel discussion in New York.
He assessed that the level of atrocities committed by Israel in Gaza had exceeded the existing legal framework and concepts, emphasizing the current terms and conventions "not able to describe the magnitude of horror experienced by the Palestinian people."
