Here's How To Disable Text Reading Features On AirPods

JAKARTA AirPods can read text or notifications that enter the iPhone automatically thanks to Siri. This ability can be useful for some users, but it can also be annoying.

If you are one of those who feel disturbed, you can disable this feature. Users can completely stop the feature or select the adjustment option to reduce notification noise.

To disable the feature reading this text on AirPods, users need to disable the Generalized Notification settings. This feature applies to both the second and the newer generation AirPods models, including Pro and Max.

By deactivating the Announcement of Notifications, Siri will stop reading all types of notifications. This includes not only messages, but also calendar meetings and notifications from various third-party applications.

This feature can be accessed by booking Settings on your iPhone. Next, you can search for the Notifications menu, then select the Public Notifications option. Next, turn off the feature.

Users can also stop reading notifications via AirPods by disabling the Notifications toggle. This deactivation will also stop reading text while using CarPlay.

If users want to keep text readings or notifications active while using CarPlay, there are special options provided. You must continue to enable Announce Notifications, but make sure the Headphone option is disabled.
