Honda Launches Scotik Equipped With Dashcam And Radar, Price Is Only IDR 35 Million

JAKARTA - Honda officially introduced a new automatic scooter called Honda NWT150 in the Chinese market. The model was jointly developed between Honda Japan and Wuyang Honda, and comes as a high-tech scooter that highlights the comfort and safety of motorists in urban areas.

Wuyang Honda's Head of Product Development, Liu Wei, said that NWT150 was designed to answer the needs of modern users who want vehicles to be efficient but still sophisticated.

"NWT150 is here to strengthen Honda's position in the era of urban scooter transformation, with technology that makes motorists feel safer and more comfortable," he said as quoted by Greatbikers, Friday, October 31.

This sticker is equipped with a millimeter wave radar system capable of detecting up to 20 objects around the vehicle within 100 meters and an angle of 150 degrees. If there are other vehicles approaching the blind spot area, the warning lights will automatically turn on in the side mirror, just like the latest cars.

In addition, there are front and rear cameras that function as a dashcam. Then, modern safety features such as the two-channel ABS braking system, traction control, and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS).

The instrument panel uses a full-color TFT screen with smartphone connectivity through the Wi-Link system. This scooter is also equipped with a smart key system with an NFC card that makes it easier to operate without a key child.

In terms of performance, NWT150 carries a 149 cc engine coded EW15 which produces 11.4 kW (about 15.5 dk) and a 14.4 Nm peak torque. The weight is 137 kilograms with a fuel tank capacity of 8.1 liters.

Fuel consumption is claimed to reach 43 kilometers per liter, making it one of the most efficient scooters in class. Designally, NWT150 appears aggressive with projector LED headlights, high windshield, and big scooter-style body that emphasizes the premium impression.

In the Chinese market, Honda NWT150 is priced from 14,980 yuan, or around Rp35 million. Although it has attracted attention in the domestic market, there is no information on whether this model will be exported to other countries.
