ACJA And JMSI Encourage Media And Smart City Jakarta Collaboration

JAKARTA - The All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) delegation and the Indonesian Cyber Media Network (JMSI) discussed strengthening media and smart city collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government at City Hall last Wednesday.

The group was accepted by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Communications and Information Agency, Budi Awaluddin. He emphasized the role of the media in public transparency and understanding between nations. "Media is not only a conveyer of information, but also a bridge to understanding and trust between nations," said Budi. General Chairperson of JMSI Dr. Teguh Santosa said this visit was a follow-up to the ACJA MoU with JMSI regarding the construction of a Chinese Journalist's House in Jakarta, including exchange of experiences, joint training, and collaborative coverage. "The establishment of a Chinese Journalist's House" Indonesia is a symbol of continuous cooperation between the two press communities, "said Teguh in a written statement received Friday, OCTOBER 31.

ACJA Executive Secretary Wu Xu appreciated the provincial government's remarks and emphasized the role of cross-border press. "We believe strong press relations will help deepen interculture understanding and expand collaboration in various sectors," said Wu Xu.

The delegation also discussed the use of IT and the integration of cross-sectoral data for Jakarta's public services as a smart city.

The ACJA agenda series in Indonesia includes MoU in Jakarta as well as visits to RRI, VOI Editor, Indonesia China Fast Train, West Java DPRD, and the Asia Africa Conference Museum.
