Jor-Joran War Against Russia, British Media Predicts Ukraine Will Run Out Of Money In February 2026
JAKARTA - The Russo-Ukrainian war began in 2014 until now. Along with the jor-joran for military operations, Ukraine is predicted to run out of money in February 2026 if its European countries partners do not find a way to continue to finance.
The prediction comes from the media The Economist, who said that for 2025 alone, spending on Ukrainian military operations reached 100-110 billion US dollars, which is equivalent to half the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
"Ukraine is facing a severe financial crisis. Unless there is a change, Ukraine will run out of money by the end of February. This gap is getting closer," the UK-based newspaper wrote, quoted from Tass, Friday, October 31.
According to The Economist's calculations, by the end of 2025, Ukraine's military spending from the start of the conflict as reflected in its defense budget was combined with weapons supplies and military grants from the West would amount to about 360 billion US dollars.
The publication stressed that of Ukraine's three main sources of funding, two of them are gradually heading out: funding from Washington and domestic loans.
The Economist concluded that the last remaining source was Europe, and called on the Old World leaders to use all available ways to provide financial support to Ukraine.
According to the media, the measures offer Europe "a historic opportunity to change the balance of power" in its confrontation with Russia and achieve military and financial independence from the United States (US).
Earlier, The Economist estimated that Ukraine would need around $389 billion over the next four years from 2026-2029, in funding and military aid to defend its armed forces and support its economy.
