Chronology Of Mecimapro Allegedly Fraud And Embezzlement Until The Director Becomes A Suspect

JAKARTA - The alleged fraud and embezzlement of funds by the Director of PT Melani Citra Permata or Mecimapro, Fransiska Dwi Melani, has become an important note in the Indonesian music performance industry which has been developing in recent years.

Based on the report of PT Media Inspiration Bangsa (MIB) who became Mecimapro's business partner at the TWICE concert in Jakarta on December 23, 2023, Melani was named a suspect and has been detained at Polda Metro Jaya.

Aldi Rizki as MIB's attorney explained that the detailed chronology of this case began with the collaboration between his client and Mecimapro as the promoter of the TWICE concert at that time.

MIB is here as a business partner who invests a sum of money as a working capital with Mecimapro. However, after the concert was over, MIB did not receive the funds that had been invested along with the profits that should be his right.

"The concert is still being held. However, the cooperation capital has not been returned, and the profits have not been given," said Aldi Rizky when contacted by the media crew, Thursday, October 30.

Throughout 2024, MIB is trying to solve this problem. According to Aldi, his party has sent an official notification to Mecimapro five times, but none has received a reply.

"From 2024, we sent five notifications, but there was not a single answer from the Mecimapro side," said Aldi.

He also said that communication between the two company leaders had also occurred, but there was no agreed meeting point.

Furthermore, due to the lack of certainty about the return of cooperation capital by Mecimapro, MIB decided to appoint Aldi as a legal representative to take a more serious route.

The first step taken was to send a summons (law warning), which unfortunately, Mecimapro did not heed this step.

"Since that summons, we have not received any answers," said Aldi.

After all the peace efforts failed, MIB reported this issue to the police in January. The investigation process went on until Melani was finally named a suspect.

Elsewhere, the Head of the Public Information Sub-Division of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Reonald Simanjuntak, said Melani as Director of Mecimapro had been named a suspect and had been detained since early October.

"The person concerned (Melani) has been detained, meaning that he is a suspect," said Reonald when confirmed by the media crew.

"The investigator has sent the file and is being investigated by the prosecutor," he continued. "Hopefully in the near future it will be P21. If there is still a shortage of P19 again, hopefully P21."

Until the determination of the suspect, MIB's attorney is still waiting for further information from investigators regarding the details of the loss whose figure is estimated at tens of billions of rupiah.
