Reveals Alleged Suicide Plan In Papanggo Jakut, Police Examine 6 Fire Witnesses
The Tanjung Priok Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) conducted an examination of 6 witnesses in the aftermath of a fire in a residential area located on Jalan Papanggo 3A, RT 011/05, Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.
The examination was carried out to determine the cause and reveal the facts on the suspicion that an elderly man tried to commit suicide by burning a house.
"Investigators have examined six witnesses regarding the fire incident," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, AKP Handam Samudro to reporters, Thursday, October 30, 2025.
In addition, his party is still waiting for the results of the investigation of the crime scene (TKP) conducted by the National Police Headquarters Forensic Laboratory Center Team (Puslabfor).
"Yesterday the Puslabfor team conducted an investigation of the crime scene and took a number of samples needed to reveal the cause of the fire," he said.
He said the arrival of the Puslabfor team was a request by investigators from the Tanjung Priok Police to reveal the cause of the fire that scorched the house.
According to him, the results of the examination will later be synchronized with the statements of a number of witnesses at the scene and the results of laboratory examinations.

"We will continue to coordinate with Puslabfor so that there are results so that this case has legal certainty," he said.
Furthermore, AKP Handam said, the results of the investigation of the crime scene carried out by Puslabfor were aimed at getting conclusions regarding the cause of the fire that occurred.
If the results have been released, his party will conduct a case title to determine whether in this incident there is a criminal element or not, and determine the suspect if it is true that there was a criminal act that caused the house to burn down.
Based on VOI's monitoring, currently the police line is still installed at the fire site on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
"If the scene is finished, we will open the police line," he said.
