Husband Steals Because His Wife Is Influenced By Witchery, Arrested By Police And Threatened With 7 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara arrested a suspected thief with the initials SU (35) who claimed to be forced to steal because it was reasoned that it costs to treat his wife.

"Confessing to being forced to steal because it costs to treat his wife who is said to be sick because of witchery", said Mataram Police Kompol Kadek Adi Budi Astawa, in Mataram, reported Antara, Thursday, May 20.

Suspected burglars who worked as construction workers daily, according to Kadek Adi, were arrested based on reports of victims from Jeringo Village, West Lombok Regency.

"From the search of his report in the field, the identity in question we obtained and managed to arrest at his home in the Jeringo area, which is still one area with the crime scene of the theft", he said.

In his arrest, police secured evidence in the form of a smartphone belonging to the victim. Then, rp8 million in cash, and a cigarette slop was stolen from inside the victim's stall, was lost.

"He said the money has been divided, he got a ration of IDR 3 million", he also said.

  

Therefore, Kadek Adi said that there is one more colleague who is still in pursuit in the field. But the identity of his partner in action that night has been bagged by investigators.

"The initials JK, the identity we have pocketed and now still in pursuit. His role as executor, while JK is monitoring from outside the crime scene", he said.

Now SU has been designated as a suspect and is undergoing detention in Mataram Police.

As a result of his actions, SU imposed Article 363 of the Criminal Code on Theft with the threat of a criminal seven years in prison.
