Subaru Rises DNA Performa Via STI Concept, Use Manual Transmission
JAKARTA The Japanese automotive manufacturer Subaru featured a high performance concept car titled Performance-B STI Concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The presence of this car indicates the possibility of a return to the legendary STI performance series after its development was stopped in 2022.
The Chief Executive and President of Subaru, Atsushi Osaki, said that his party was aware of the importance of STI fans and the Wilderness line for the brand's future. This statement gives a strong signal that Subaru still has big plans to bring back the performance model that is their icon.
In terms of design, the Performance-B STI Concept appears with an aggressive but realistic character for mass production. The body line is firm, the feder is wide, and the large back wing of the STI makes it look like a car that is ready to take to the streets, not just an exhibition display.
This car continues to carry the all-wheel drive system (AWD) that is the hallmark of Subaru, and most likely uses a gasoline boxer with a three- pedal manual transmission configuration, a combination that is very popular with pure performance fans.

Reporting from Roadandtrack, Thursday, October 30, Subaru also introduced another concept called Performance-E STI Concept which carries electric technology. However, Performance-B is considered closer to the production version because it displays realistic proportions and technology that are ready to be implemented.
