4 Vietnamese Women Who Become Spa Therapists In Bali Deported

BADUNG - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bali, took firm action against four foreigners from Vietnam, who were proven to have abused their residence permit by opening and working as a spa therapist at a place of business in the Kuta area, in Badung Regency, Bali.

The four foreigners are all women, with the initials NNKT (46), holders of limited residence permit visas (ITAS) investors, NGHN (18) holders of Visa on Arrival (Voa), THL (42), users are free of visit visas and THN (44), users are free of visit visas.

Head of Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Division of Ngurah Rai Immigration, King Ulul Azmi Syahwali said that the four claimed to work as Spa therapists.

"The four of them claimed to work as

spa therapists without valid permission. We continue to strengthen the intelligence and surveillance functions so that similar violations do not happen again. We also invite the public to actively report if they find any suspected immigration violations," said Azmi, Thursday, October 30.

Meanwhile, the owner of the spa is a Vietnamese foreigner with the initials NNKT and has promoted three other Vietnamese foreigners. They only opened the spa business in October.

The four were deported to their home country on Wednesday (29/10), via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. The disclosure of their illegal work began with the results of an immigration intelligence operation carried out by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Division (Inteljakim) on Friday (24/10).

The operation was carried out to follow up on information related to alleged misuse of residence permits by foreigners at spas in the Kuta area.

From the results of operations and examinations in the field, it was found that four Vietnamese citizens who carried out activities were not in accordance with their residence permits.

In the initial examination, the four admitted to working as spa therapists at the location, although the residence permit they had did not allow them to carry out work activities. Based on these findings, the officer then conducted an examination and concluded that the four foreigners violated Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6, 2011 concerning immigration, because they carried out activities that were not in accordance with the granted residence permit.

Furthermore, they are subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and submitted to the penalty list. The four of them have been sent back to Vietnam using the VietJet Air airline on the Denpasar 'Ho Chi Minh route on Wednesday (29/10).

Winarko, Head of the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, emphasized that Immigration will continue to carry out its immigration law enforcement function consistently.

"The enforcement of immigration laws not only provides a deterrent effect for violators, but also ensures the presence of foreigners in the Bali area remains orderly and in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.
