Yogyakarta MCSP Score Above The National Average, KPK: Governance Of Effective Governments

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the Monitoring, Controlling, Surveillance for Prevention (MCSP) score of the DI Yogyakarta Province exceeded the national average in the 2023-2024 period. This condition shows that the governance carried out has been effective and has integrity.

The MCSP is a system used by the KPK to monitor, control, and supervise local governance in order to prevent corruption. Eight areas are monitored, including planning, budgeting, procurement of goods and services to optimizing regional income.

"In the last two years, the achievement of DI Yogyakarta in the MCSP index has shown positive results, namely the average province of 94 points in 2024 and 92 points in 2023," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement quoted Thursday, October 30.

"This value is far above the national average of 76 points in 2024 and 75 points in 2023," he continued.

"Especially for the city of Yogyakarta, Budi said, there was an increase in the achievement from 90.58 to 95.01 in 2024. This achievement shows that governance in the Yogyakarta region is effective and with integrity," he said.

As for the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI), Budi said, an increase needs to be done. This is because there will be a decline in 2024 compared to 2023.

"Thus, the average regional SPI in DI Yogyakarta in 2024 is at 76.71 or at an alert level compared to 78.6 in 2023," said Budi.

Even so, DI Yogyakarta is said to remain committed to efforts to eradicate corruption. Evidently, the anti-corruption education curriculum at various levels has been implemented.

"This achievement still shows regional commitment in building a sustainable corruption prevention system. The KPK assesses that Yogyakarta has strong potential to become a model of regional integrity and national pilot space for synergies between the government, society and the world of education in realizing clean and just governance," he concluded.
