Preventing Tolitoli To Be Flooded Again, 4 Central Sulawesi BPBD Excavators Deployed To Normalize Rivers
The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) deployed two heavy excavator types to normalize rivers in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng), after a flood disaster occurred in the area.
Head of BPBD Central Sulawesi Akris Fattah Yunus said the heavy equipment had normalized the Dadakatan river and the Lembah river in Baolan District.
"God willing, today there will be two more heavy equipment to carry out river normalization work in Tuweley Baolan Village," Akris told media crews in Palu City, Thursday, which was confiscated by Antara.
He revealed that his party had provided logistical assistance to BPBD Tolitoli to be immediately distributed to flood victims.
"So, there is assistance for a tank car belonging to the Central Sulawesi BPBD to provide clean water services and clean residents' houses," he said.

According to him, based on the local TRC BPBD report, 1,345 houses were affected and 139 families (KK) were displaced due to flooding in Tolitoli Regency on October 26, 2025.
There are five affected areas, namely Tuweley Village with 328 affected houses and 110 families displaced, while in Baru Village 307 houses were affected and five families were displaced.
"For Tambun Village, 249 houses were affected and 24 families were displaced, and Naru 215 sub-districts were affected, and Panakakan Village 246 houses were affected," he said.
The Tolitoli Regency Government has determined that the flood is an emergency response for seven days from 27 October to 7 November 2025.
