Starting November, WFH West Java DPRD Is Implemented For A Day In A Week

The West Java DPRD Secretariat revealed that the work from home (WFH) policy in the West Java DPRD complex, which was piloted in November 2025, will be implemented one day a week, every Thursday.

"WFH once a week targets up to 50 percent of the total employees of 133 people," said the Acting Head of the General Section of the West Java DPRD Secretariat, Irma Rahmawati, targeting employees, both ASN and non-ASN, who were considered less productive, while at the level officials were required to enter.

"This WFH every Thursday. What is worn by WFH is an underproductive employee. Meanwhile, functional and structural officials will not carry out WFH, but will continue to work from the office as usual," said Irma at the West Java DPRD Secretariat, Bandung, Wednesday, October 29.

However, Irma ensures that the WFH policy that will be implemented will not have an impact on employee rights such as allowances

"As stated by the Governor, there is no reduction in allowances for employees who run WFH," he said.

Previously, WFH with a quota of 50 percent for employees within the West Java DPRD Secretariat, which amounted to around 133 people, was expected to reduce monthly electricity and internet costs.

Even regarding electricity, the Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Dodi Sukmayana, explained that his party would optimize alternative energy sources with solar panels on the roof of the West Java DPRD Building to reduce the monthly electricity budget.

Dodi also said that his party would stop the paid internet subscription and maximize the network provided by the West Java Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo).

In addition, the West Java DPRD building in November 2025 will also start optimizing groundwater so that the operating costs of piped water per month can be reduced to the lower limit.

In addition, during the same period, savings were made by eliminating snacks, carried out at morning meetings, and the removal of a bubble was carried out during lunch and meetings after that, which were replaced by boxed rice.

This savings policy, due to the West Java 2026 APBD, decreased by IDR 2.4 trillion, due to delays in central transfer funds to the regions.

With this decline, the total West Java 2026 APBD, which was originally projected at IDR 31.1 trillion, was revised to IDR 28.6 trillion.
