Thanks To Angga-Shenina, Teddy Soe Was Sweetly Taken To Work On 'Dopamine'

JAKARTA - Director Teddy Soeria Atmadja presents the film Dopamin as his latest work this year. He hooked up the young couple Angga Yunanda and Shenina Cinnamon who were newly married this year.

In its first collaboration, Teddy had no trouble directing the young couple because they had different interpretations in this film.

"The cooperation between Angga and Shenina is easy and actually I didn't do too much rected because they have an interpretation, so I help shape," said Teddy Soe at a press conference in South Jakarta on Wednesday, October 29.

Their chemistry is very good on the pitch because in real life, they are so sweet. Because they are sweet, I brought sweet," he added.

Seeing Angga and Shenina's collaboration, Teddy also felt that his views regarding love had also changed as Dopamine's film production continued.

"The script is dark thriller, maybe the treatment of the characters has different endings, changed greatly from the initial draft when I wrote back with Pak (Chand) Parwez, which I applied more humanely, more playful, with the dynamics between Malik and Alya," explained Teddy.

My views on relationship was pessimistic. One day, Angga wrote in the script, 'Love is real' he said.

The film Dopamin tells the story of Malik (Angga Yunanda) and Alya (Shenina Cinnamon), a young couple who are in debt here and there. Their fate changes after finding a suitcase containing money from foreigners who ride in their house.

The film Dopamine will hit Indonesian cinemas starting November 13, 2025.
