Trivium Welcomes Alex R\"udinger, The Drummer Reveals The Story Of Regret And Hard To Trust Second Chance

JAKARTA - Substitution of personnel has always been an interesting story in the world of rock music, and the famous metal band Trivium recently introduced its new drummer, Alex R\"udinger, who was previously known as a Whitechapel personnel.

R\"udinger replaces Alex Bent, who has long filled the drummer position. However, the 33-year-old drummer's joining story turns out to save unexpected twists and turns, which he shares as an reflection of an hard-to-confidence second chance.

In a post on his social media, R\"udinger shows off the drum set he will use with Trivium. He includes a long message that reveals "historic" between himself and the band fronted by Matt Heafy.

R\"udinger said that almost ten years ago, he had been asked to play with Trivium. At that time, he canceled joining because he had just launched his new band, Good Tiger (GT).

"To be honest I don't know what to do," R\"udinger wrote, citing an upload caption, Wednesday, October 29.

"Some of me worry about how it will look like it will start a new band, then defect to join an established band," he continued. "All the reasons I'm with GT are because we are friends, first and most importantly."

R\"udinger was open to GT, even his friends encouraged him to meet Trivium. They didn't want him to leave, but they also didn't want him to stay and regret it. But in the end, he didn't join the Trivium at the time.

"In the end, I made a decision that I think is right, and not really the best for myself," said R\"udinger. "If I'm honest with myself, I actually wanted to do this (joining the Trivium) at the time."

The decision he made at that time seems to be something he deeply regrets. Although he often reflected on what might have happened, he realized the past could not be changed, and he also lived his life.

Two weeks before the official announcement, things changed completely. R\"udinger saw the Trivium part with their drummer. He immediately contacted Matt Heafy cs, and is now officially the new drummer.

"Mengatakan saya senang melakukannya adalah benar-benar sebuah pernyataan yang menggunakan," tegas R\"udinger. "Saya merasa seolah-asak saya memiliki kesempatan yang sangat rakat kesempatan kedua untuk sesuatu yang selalu saya inginkan. To be honest ini cukup untuktung."

He expressed his gratitude and can't wait to play the 13-14 songs he has learned, and more over time. "Thank you Matt, Corey, & Paolo for trusting me to give justice to your music."

Frontman Trivium, Matt Heafy, also commented on R\"odinger's upload. He warmly welcomed the presence of the drummer. "Thank you very much Rudi-san. We need a decade" but finally we made music together. This is the future," he said.

R\"udinger is scheduled to sit behind drums for Trivium during North American tours in the fall of 2025. In addition, he will also be involved in writing sessions for his next album.
