Attend The Tribute To A. Rafiq Concert, Menbud Fadli Zon: He Inspired The Cross Generation

JAKARTA First View Concert: Tribute to A. Rafiq at Tennis Indoor Senayan Tuesday, October 28, is a celebration of the legacy of Indonesian dangdut music. Also present at this concert, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon who interprets this concert as strengthening dangdut on the international stage.

"Dangdut is Indonesian original music. We encourage it to be registered as UNESCO Cultural Heritage," said Fadli in front of the audience who was present at the concert arena.

Fadli called A. Rafiq an important icon that changed the face of the dangdut in the country through distinctive vocals, energy stages, and eternal works. "He gave great inspiration across generations," he said.

In his remarks, Fadli invited the public to make dangdut a global pride. Don't just move around the world. The world must enjoy dangdut wave. Agree? he exclaimed, greeted with great fanfare.

The son of A. Rafiq, Fahd A. Rafiq, appreciated the government's support. He said this concert involved around 70 artists who helped raise dangdut, such as H. Rhoma Irama, Elvy Sukaesih, Mansyur S., Jaja Miharja to Kaka Slank.

The Tribute to A. Rafiq concert presents original arrangements that bring the audience back to the golden age of dangdut. Legendary songs such as From the Eyes down to the Heart, Ada-Ada Saja, Paris Berantai, Milikku to Pandangan Pertama are sung with cross-generational collaborations.

During the event, Fadli submitted the Certificate of Award of the Ministry of Culture to A. Rafiq's family as a form of respect for his contribution to Indonesian music.

Fadli emphasized that government support will continue to be strengthened. "Dangdut must be present as part of world music, echoing to foreign countries," he concluded.
