BINUS Student Creativity Makes 120 Innovations In The Digital Age

JAKARTA - In the midst of the hustle and bustle of students displaying a row of innovative works in a room, there is a young spirit that is so strong that radiates. There is enthusiasm to innovate, work, and give meaning in the digital era.

Techvolution: Youth Innovate Day is a tangible manifestation of that spirit. A celebration of creativity and digital innovation, in which students from various majors collaborate to create solutions that answer today's challenges.

More than 120 innovative works in the digital era are displayed in this event, ranging from regional language learning applications, Virtual Reality Diplomacy, to Architecture Psychology. Each work is born from the same spirit, namely the desire to bring change through fresh ideas across discipline.

Hundreds of these works are divided into a number of leading fields, such as Artificial Intelligence & Automation, Educational Technology (EdTech), Extended Reality (XR), Smart City & Urban Mobility, Game & Esports, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Mobile Application, and Digital Biotechnology.

BINUS @Kemanggisan is not only a campus, but a room full of inspiration. Students show off their original works with pride, visitors move from one booth to another with admiration, while in another corner there are laughter and passionate discussions.

Exhibitions, interactive classes, to digital music and art performances combine to create a dynamic atmosphere. This is where education can be come with a fresher face. Not just theory, but also practice and collaboration.

In the midst of this creative event, the spirit of the Youth Pledge feels so strong. Not through speeches or ceremonies, but through real actions of the younger generation in their work.

"The Youth Spill is not only about being united in diversity, but also about taking a role to build the nation," said the Chancellor of BINUS University, Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., MM.

"In this digital era, the younger generation plays a role through innovation and technology. Through Techvolution, we want to show that young Indonesian talents have the ability to create solutions that have an impact on society," he added.

That spirit is the life of Techvolution. Students are not only learning in class, but are also invited to understand social reality and channel their creativity into something useful for society.

Many of the works are inspired by real needs, ranging from AI to education, environmentally friendly innovations, to applications that help with everyday life.

One of the participants, Lutfi Alvaro Pratama from majoring in Artificial Intelligence shared his story.

"Being able to present works on Techvolution is a matter of pride. I present Artificial Intelligence Trashable, namely the detection of instant waste using AI & learning to sort through educational interactive games. We learn that innovation is not only about ideas, but about the courage to try and contribute to Indonesia," said Lutfi.

Not only enthusiasm, this event also made proud achievements. BINUS @Kemanggisan won an award from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) for the category of the Most Tech Innovation Exhibition of Academic Civity's Works.

This award is proof that higher education can be a place for record and inspiration. Not only from competition, but from collaboration and enthusiasm to move forward.

Techvolution is not just a technology exhibition, but a celebration of young enthusiasm. We want students to understand not only theory, but also practice their knowledge to create real solutions and experiences that will strengthen them when they enter the industrial world," added Dr. Reina, S.Kom., MM., Director of Campus BINUS @Kemanggisan and Vice Rector Academic Operations & Resources.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector Research & Technology Transfer highlights the importance of the human side in innovation.

"Technology should not only be sophisticated, but also humanist. Through research that is in favor of the needs of the community, we want BINUS students to be pioneers in creating technology that has a positive and sustainable impact on Indonesia," he explained.

Through Techvolution: Youth Innovate Day, BINUS @Kemenggisan emphasized that he is not only an educational institution, but also a growth space for young Indonesian innovators.

This event became a symbol that the spirit of developing a country is no longer limited to words, but comes in concrete form: work, ideas, and courage to try.

The campus continues to encourage the birth of young people who are not only technology literate, but also have high social awareness.
