The train in the Operation Area (Daop) 7 Madiun, East Java, was also affected by flooding at kilometer 2 + 3 to 3 + 0 on the upstream and downstream routes between Alastua Station Semarang Tawang, Central Java.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 7 Madiun Rokhmad Makin Zainul said the affected train was KA Brantas heading for Pasarsenen-Blitar and vice versa.

"The Brantas train route to Pasarsenen-Blitar is via Cirebon Prujakan-Solo Balapan. Also for the Brantas Blitar-Pasarsenen train via Solo Balapan-Purwokerto-Cirebon Prujakan. So the train journey with a pattern of turning the impact of the overflow of water on the Alastua 'Semarang Tawang railway line," he said when confirmed, Wednesday, was confiscated by Antara.

In addition, there are a number of other train trips that are also made with a rotating pattern, including from Pasar Senen to Surabaya Pasar Turi via Tegal Purwokerto Solo Balapan Gundih, and from Surabaya to Pasar Senen via the Gambirgan Gundih Solo Balapan Cirebon Prujakan.

Zainul said train travel with a rotating operation pattern was to maintain safety and timeliness.

His party emphasized that the safety and security of train travel, including all customers in it, is KAI's top priority.

'Customers' safety is always the main thing. We are grateful for the understanding and patience of the customers, the family waiting, and the community in this situation," said Zainul.

Zainul added that the KAI Daop 4 Semarang infrastructure officer was at the location to carry out monitoring and handling in the field. Cross normalization efforts continue to be carried out so that the Alastua Semarang Tawang route can be passed safely.

KAI also alerted officers to carry out intensive monitoring of water levels, line stability, and drainage systems around the rails. In addition, KAI operates the diesel hydrolic BB 304 locomotive as an anticipatory step so that train travel can continue to run safely.

As a form of service responsibility, KAI provides 100 percent ticket fee refunds outside of message duties for customers who choose to cancel travel due to delays of more than an hour or due to changes in travel routes.

This compensation mechanism applies to customers who do not wish to continue their journey due to delays or patterns of rotating operations. The return process can be carried out at the station counter or through the 121 customer service.

Claims, he said, can be made up to a maximum of D + 7 from the date of departure. Meanwhile, for the return of duties due to the decrease in service class, the process can only be carried out through the station counter.

In addition to the cancellation facility, KAI also prepares additional compensation services for customers who continue to travel according to applicable regulations.

"The compensation includes the provision of drinks and snacks for delays of more than three hours, as well as additional heavy meals if the delay reaches more than five hours," he said.

He apologized to all customers for the inconvenience caused by extreme weather conditions in the Operation Area 4 Semarang, which caused water overflow at kilometer 2+3 to 3+0 on the upstream and downstream routes between Alastua Station Semarang Tawang.

This condition has been detected since Tuesday, October 28, 2025 morning, and has an impact on delays and the cancellation of several train trips.

"We apologize for the potential delays that occurred due to extreme weather conditions. KAI continues to coordinate with related parties and monitor track conditions in a sustainable manner in order to maintain the safety and reliability of train travel," said Zainul.
