US Military Bombs 4 Ships Allegedly Transporting Drugs In Pacific Waters Killed 14 People
JAKARTA - Secretary of Defense (Menhan) of the United States (US) Pete Hegseth revealed that the US military launched three bomb attacks against four civilian ships suspected of carrying drugs in East Pacific waters on Monday, October 28.
The attack killed 14 people, another 1 survived. The information was conveyed by Hegseth on his X social media on Tuesday, October 28 evening WIB.
Regarding one survivor, the US military claimed to have coordinated and handed it over to the Mexican search and rescue authority (SAR).

This action marks the escalation of US military attacks on ships suspected of being drug smugglers since early September 2025.
This is also the first time for the US to announce one day after an attack on a suspected drug carrier was deemed a designated Terrorist Organization (DTO).
In a similar deadly operation in early October 2025, the US military admitted to rescuing the two crew members and then repatriating them to Colombia and Ecuador.
