On KTP, Cakung Thugs Who Died Run Over By Trucks Work As Scavengers

JAKARTA - A Cakung preman with the initials AL (56) who was found dead by a car, works as a scavenger based on his work record on his identity card.

"From his identity (KTP), he is listed as a scavenger. He is a resident of Rawa Terate Village, Cakung, East Jakarta," said Head of Traffic Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Darwis when confirmed, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

AKP Darwis said the accident began when the victim crossed the road towards the tomb. The victim was first hit by a Yamaha Aerox motorbike driven by a student with the initials AW riding a ride with a woman with the initials R.

"After the victim was hit by a motorbike, the victim was then hit by an Express box car with an unknown number and immediately fled," he said.

Currently, the case of the accident is being handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was arrested for questioning.

Previously, it was reported that a man known as a thug in the Cakung area and often drunk disturbed residents who were found dead by a truck in the Pulogadung Industrial area, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Monday, October 27, evening.

The incident occurred when heavy rains flushed the area. The victim is known to have the initials AL. Before being run over by a truck, the victim was hit by a motorbike that passed around the scene.

Residents who saw the incident immediately flocked to the crime scene (TKP) to see the condition of the victim.
