No Grain And Rice South Konawe Farmers Are Absorbed, Bulog Immediately Drops
JAKARTA - Perum Bulog through the Bombana Kanwil Sultra Branch along with the ranks went to the field to absorb grain from farmers in Pombula Jaya Village, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. This step is in response to information on farmers' crops in the area is not absorbed.
"This condition occurs due to the harvest which takes place simultaneously so that several mills experience excess capacity," said Head of Bulog Bombana Branch, Aang Fahri, in an official statement, Monday, October 27.
Aang said that the Bombana Branch Bulog took quick steps by absorbing all the accumulated grain, leaving around 20 tons, which the process was being transferred to macroon milling partners.
"This fast action ensures that farmers' grain is not damaged and remains absorbed by prices according to government regulations, while maintaining supply stability and prices at the farmer level," he said.
Similarly, Bulog Merauke Branch emphasized its commitment to continue to absorb farmers' crops. Moreover, Merauke Regency is one of the main food barns in eastern Indonesia.
The absorption of the Merauke Bulog Branch for grain commodities has managed to absorb 118.tons of the 119 tonne target or 99.26 percent.
Meanwhile, for rice absorption, the realization reached 16 thousand tons from the target of 15,000 tons, or 106.15 percent of the set target.
This figure reflects that the absorption of grain and rice programs in Merauke are running optimally and contributes significantly to supporting national food security from Indonesia's border areas.
The activity of absorbing grain and rice which received full support from the local government and various stakeholders. Last Friday, October 24, Bulog Warehouse in Merauke was visited by the Regent of Merauke, Expert Staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Task Force, and the Food Security Service, Livestock, and Animal Health Office of Merauke Regency.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Merauke Yoseph B. Gebze expressed his appreciation for the presence of Bulog which continues to absorb farmers' crops in Merauke.
Prayer emphasized the importance of Bulog's role in maintaining price and absorption of crops.
"We are grateful to Bulog for absorbing all the rice produced by Merauke farmers. This is very helpful for the community and is a real step to ensure that farmers' crops are well absorbed," said Gebze.
