Samsung Launches First Tripled Phones This Week, But Not For The US Market

JAKARTA - Samsung is reportedly ready to launch its first trifold phone this week, which is likely to be announced on October 31, 2025, to coincide with the APEC 2025 Summit in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

However, less encouraging news came to fans in the United States and Europe. According to famous leaker Evan Blass, this innovative device will not be released in the US market or Europe in its early stages.

Only Released In The Asian Market And Middle East

Through uploads on platform X (Twitter), Evan Blass said that the first market that will get this three-fold cellphone is South Korea, the Great China market (including Singapore and Taiwan), as well as the possibility of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). "That's all," Blass wrote, adding that he "hopes to be wrong", but believes the information is accurate.

Thus, Samsung appears to be avoiding the Western market for the premiere of this groundbreaking device, perhaps to test the Asian market first known to be more enthusiastic about foldable devices.

Launch Expected October 31

According to a report from The Korea Herald, the official launch is likely to take place on the first day of the APEC 2025 Summit, namely October 31. Samsung is expected to take advantage of the huge momentum of the international event to introduce its new design innovation. Even so, Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch date, so the public is still waiting for the company's final announcement.

From the previous leaks, this triple foldable phone is expected to be priced at around US$2,800 (around Rp45 million), or around US$1,000 more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Some of the specifications in circulation include:

- Front screen: 6.5 inches

- Main screen: 10 inches when fully opened

- Middle mode: about 8 inches

- Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite

- RAM: 16GB

- Internal storage: up to 1TB

- Main camera: 200 megapixels, equipped with ultrawide cameras and telephoto periscopes

If these rumors are true, the device will be the most sophisticated and expensive phone in Samsung's folding line so far.
