Saudi Arabian Startup, Humain Ready To Launch AI-Based Operation System

JAKARTA The kingdom's sovereign wealth fund (AI), Humain, founded by the kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, plans to launch a new computer operating system this week that allows users to interact with computers via voice commands. This announcement was made by the company on Monday, October 27.

This new product, called Humain One, is predicted to be an alternative to icon-based operating systems such as Windows and macOS, which have dominated private computers since the mid-1980s, according to a company spokesperson.

"Instead of viewing the icon and clicking on the app one by one, now users just need to say the meaning," said Humain CEO Tareq Amin at the Fortune Global Forum event at Riyadh.

Although several other companies are also developing similar technologies, Humain is targeting to be the first to officially launch the operating system.

Humain was founded in May 2025 under the auspices of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and chaired directly by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The company provides AI-based services and products, including data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud services, and advanced AI models.

For information, the computer operating system is a major software that functions as a link between users and machines, manages hardware resources, and provides important services for other applications.

Humain's spokesman, who declined to be named, explained that the development of this operating system began as soon as the company was established last May. Currently, Humain has conducted internal trials for its payroll system and human resources.

Selain itu, Tareq Amin juga mengungkapkan bahwa Humain berencana membangun kapasitas pusat data hingga 6 gigawatt, meskipun belum mengumumkan lokasi pembangunannya.
