TNI Prepares Special Joint Task Force To Be Sent To Gaza

Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Headquarters Major General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah said his party had prepared a joint task force that had many special capabilities from building construction to opening health services for humanitarian missions in Gaza.

This was said by Freddy when asked about the readiness of the TNI to send peacekeepers to Gaza in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's commitment.

"The troops who are likely to be involved, can consist of elements of the joint TNI Task Force that have Construction Engineer capability related to infrastructure improvement, field health support, psychological aspect rehabilitation," said Freddy as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 27.

According to Freddy, troops from the Indonesian Army's Engineer unit are urgently needed to restore infrastructure damaged by the war in the Gaza region.

In addition to the Engineer unit, the presence of health workers from the TNI is also needed to provide physical and psychological health services for war victims.

Not to forget, the TNI will also deploy security forces to ensure that peace mission operations carried out in Gaza run safely.

Even though everything has been prepared, Freddy said the TNI will continue to wait for orders from the central government to confirm the delivery of peace troops.

"Essentially, the TNI is ready to implement every government decision in a professional, proportional manner, and still upholds the principles of peace and Indonesia's national interests, based on national and international legal standing," explained Freddy.

To note, Prabowo reiterated his stance to support the creation of peace in Gaza in the 13th ASEAN Summit (US) forum held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), Malaysia, Sunday (26/10).

According to President Prabowo, Indonesia is also ready to deploy peacekeepers in areas that must be protected and enforced.

Let's choose to be on the right side of history. Let ASEAN and the US be peace partners. Building sustainable peace, fostering constructive cooperation, and strengthening partnerships that provide real benefits to our people and the world," Prabowo said in the forum.
