Purbaya Reveals Community Trust In Government Increases Again

Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive stated that the level of consumer confidence in the government increased again in October 2025, after having fallen for three consecutive months.

Based on data from the Consumer Confidence Index on the Government as of October 2025 from a survey by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), the public confidence figure showed a positive trend, namely the Index was recorded to have risen to the level of 113.3, when compared to September 2025 101.5.

Purbaya assessed that this data shows a recovery in public trust after previously a significant decline that triggered a major demonstration in August 2025.

According to him, this data shows that public trust is starting to improve after a drastic decline, which sparked a major demonstration in August 2025.

"July-August-September continues to decline to its lowest point, this is where there are many demonstrations," he told the media crew, Monday, October 27.

He added that the government's economic policies in the last few months were considered successful in reversing the trend of consumer confidence.

"We are doing policies that are possible for other (other) groups to be a bit drastic, a bit say celas celos, but this has succeeded in reversing public sentiment towards the government. In fact, this level is now the same as this, so it is stable again," he explained.

In addition, Purbaya said that improving economic conditions and a firm style of personal communication contributed to the recovery of public sentiment.

"So, there is a correlation. When the economy is bad, they (the public) don't like the government, that's why there are a lot of massive demonstrations, but when they come back, they are also happy to the government. So I think I'm a cowboy, but what I do is restore public trust in the government," he said.
