Police Arrest Two Utilities Cable Thieves In Palmerah

Two thieves of utility cables on Jalan KS Tubun, Palmerah, West Jakarta have been arrested by members of the Palmerah Police.

The actions of the two perpetrators were caught on amateur cameras from residents and went viral on social media. Ironically, the two perpetrators took action on Sunday, October 27, noon.

Palmerah Police Chief Kompol Gomos Simamora confirmed the arrest of the perpetrator of the theft.

"That's right, the perpetrator has been arrested. He was arrested around the location last night," said Kompol Gomos when confirmed, Monday, October 27, 2025.

Police are still investigating the two perpetrators. The police have also not revealed the motive for the theft of the cable.

Meanwhile, the police have not received a report from the victim who owns the cable.

"There has been no report yet, we don't know who the cable belongs to, it's still being investigated," he said.
