Flores Electrification Ratio 98 Percent, PLN Will Use SuperSUN For Remote Areas

BAJAWA - PT PLN (Persero) through PLN UIP Nusa Tenggara revealed that until now the Flores electrification ratio has reached 98 percent. One of the causes has not yet reached the 100 percent target because there are still villages located in remote areas that are difficult to reach.

"If the electrification is actually already done. It's almost 98 percent. Flores. There are many more actually villages that (not yet electrified). But usually at most 3T (stayed behind, frontier, and outermost)," said PLN's Manager for Licensing and Communication UIP Nusa Tenggara, Bobby Robson Sitorus, when met in Bajawa, quoted Monday, October 27.

Bobby explained, there are still many remote areas with difficult terrain and long distances so that to build a network, many travo facilities are needed

"Then it's the same distance. Facilities for this to get there need a lot of travo for the network," explained Bobby.

For areas with long distances and difficult to reach conventional electricity networks, said Bobby, PLN installed electricity networks with SuperSUN innovations.

Just so you know, SuperSUN is one of the environmentally friendly solutions to electrify people in isolated areas or frontiers, outermost and underdeveloped regions (3T). PLN builds a solar and battery individual power plant to deliver 24-hour electricity.

"We will use the same battery using PLTS. In the remote area. In the remote area, PLTS-PLTS will be installed. There is a SuperSUN. The newest PLN has. (super SUN). He already has the program itself. If the network can't go there, we will install it first," explained Bobby.

Bobby further explained that actually electrical infrastructure in the Flores System such as the Extra High Voltage Air Line (SUTET) has been installed from West Manggarai Regency to East Flores Regency. Thus, he continued, the load center can be connected to power plants.

"Everything has been installed. In the past, there were actually no problems. There was no problem. Yes, people want it at the price of land at the most," he said.
