Involve 75 Professors, D'Promens Band Ready To Record Third MURI At Next Concert

JAKARTA - This one band is unique with an unusual number of personnel. They are the DPromens Band who are ready to record again from the Indonesian Record-World Museum (MURI) through an international concert next year.

Chairman of the D'Promension Band Prof. Dr. dr. Widodo Ario Kentjono said the concert plan titled The Grand The Rockison will involve 75 to 100 professors from various world universities.

"God willing, next year we will hold a D'Pro dress concert involving many professors from various countries. From there we are targeting to achieve a third MURI record at the world level," he said on the sidelines of the 4th Anniversary (HUT) of the D Promens Band which was held at the Fleet Command Headquarters (Koarmada) II Surabaya, quoted from ANTARA on Sunday, October 26.

According to Widodo, until now the D'Promens Band has pocketed two MURI records, namely at the national and international levels.

This achievement was achieved thanks to the hard work and cohesiveness of the members, which now number 50 professors, including two high-ranking officers of the Indonesian Navy.

"There aren't many bands that get two MURI records at once. This proves our extraordinary passion and collaboration," he said.

Regarding the anniversary event, Widodo explained that the event led by the Chairman of the Committee for Rear Admirals (Laksda) TNI Iwan, who is also Deputy Chancellor II of Hang Tuah University Surabaya, was also attended by the extended family of the Indonesian Navy and professors from various universities.

"We are grateful to the Commander of Koarmada II for facilitating this event. In addition to commemorating the birthday, this activity is also an entertainment for soldiers," said Widodo.
