Lexus Car Hit By Falling Tree In Pondok Indah, Driver Dies

JAKARTA - Heavy rain and strong winds caused a large tree to fall on a luxury Lexus car numbered B 1732 SJV on Jalan Metro Pondok, South Jakarta, Sunday, October 26, afternoon.

Quoted from the X TMC account of the Polda Metro Jaya, the tragic incident that occurred at around 14.00 WIB resulted in the car driver's death on the spot.

Residents and joint officers then evacuated the victim. Witness Subagya said the large tree suddenly fell and hit the victim's passing car.

"Earlier it rained heavily and the wind was strong and the tree fell," said the witness around the location, Subagya.

Currently, the South Jakarta Police Traffic Unit is still making arrangements and security around the location to unravel congestion on Jalan Metro Pondok Indah.
