BGN Process Of Deactivation Of Perpetrators Of Verbal Harassment Of SPPG Employees

JAKARTA - The internal party of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is examining an individual from the Head of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Bekasi, West Java, who is suspected of verbally harassing and molesting his teammates.

"We are processing the status of the person concerned to be deactivated," said Deputy Head of BGN Nanik Sudaryati Deyang in an official statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

Nanik deeply regretted the incident which was not in accordance with BGN's principles.

"It's a shame, how come, friends themselves do things we don't want," he said.

According to the Deputy Head of BGN, they are a team that should be united and support each other, not even take actions that harm SPPG.

BGN also continues to strengthen governance and improve the nutritional quality of the nation's children through the Free Nutrition Food kitchen management system (MBG) which is strictly regulated and follows technical guidelines based on presidential regulations and national food safety standards.

Nanik emphasized that the cooking process cannot be done carelessly. There are arrangements for working hours based on batch systems or sequences. For example, for the first batch starts at 02.00 in the morning, so that food is ready before distribution time. Kitchens are also not allowed to cook before 12 pm because it risks the quality of nutrition and food safety.

In order to maintain quality, hygiene, and standard operating procedures, BGN has temporarily closed 112 SPPGs because it has not met technical and sanitation requirements according to BGN guidelines. The decisive step was taken to maintain the quality of food and safety of the beneficiary children.

To note, earlier last week there was news that a SPPG employee in Jatimekar II, South Bekasi, West Java, with the initials RDA, was a victim of verbal abuse and abuse by his superior, MKP, a Head of SPPG.

The video of the unpleasant treatment that happened to him went viral in the mass media. He then made a report to the police. Currently, the police are investigating the case to find out the motive of the perpetrator.
