Deputy Minister Of MSMEs Supports MSMEs Focused On Sustainable Industry

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Moraza emphasized that he will always support MSME entrepreneurs who prioritize their business in developing a sustainable industrial ecosystem so that they can transform and advance to class.

Helvi while reviewing the Help Me Grow program in Beluk Village, Belik District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java said the Help Me Grow Program was present as a tangible manifestation of the transformation of small businesses, especially in the agro-based production sector and sustainable industry.

The event, which was initiated by the Deputy for Small Business through the Assistant Deputy for Small Business Production and Digitization, continued Deputy Minister Helvi, aims to support MSMEs to switch from manual production to machine-based systems and technology to be efficient.

"Based on SIDT data from the Ministry of MSMEs, around 94 percent of MSMEs are still producing manually or semi-manual, so their efficiency and productivity are still low," he said, Saturday, October 25.

According to him, the Help Me Grow Program also answers these challenges through support for production equipment, technical skills training, and sustainable market partnerships.

"This program not only empowers the village community, but also creates a circular economy that is in line with the policy direction of the Green MSMEs," he said during a discussion with the residents of Beluk Village.

Collaborative models such as Help Me Grow prove that empowering MSMEs is not enough just with capital, but also requires assistance, application of technology, and strong market networks.

"We hope that more villages in Indonesia will be able to grow the local economy based on superior potential, create jobs, and strengthen national economic resilience from below," he said.

Meanwhile, Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro said the MSME sector in Pemalang Regency was the backbone of the economy as well as the main source of job opportunities for the community.

Pemalang Regency Government continues to strive to provide support through various programs, one of which is assistance to MSME entrepreneurs with 0 percent interest. We want to motivate MSMEs that the government is present and supports their business activities," said Anom.
