Food Poisoning? Tangerang Health Office Suggests Drinking Water And Electrolyte

TANGERANG - Drinking water, oral or electrolyte drinks is an initial solution as a help when someone experiences food poisoning. This was stated by the Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) Banten.

"If possible, give snacks that are easy to digest. This is a treatment that can be done independently at home," said the Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, dr. Dini Anggraeni in Tangerang, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, October 25.

Dr. Dini said symptoms of food poisoning could appear several hours and even one day after eating contaminated food.

In addition, the symptoms of food poisoning can vary depending on the type of bacteria or harmful substances that enter the body. Common signs that often appear include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

"Sometimes accompanied by blood, cramps or stomach pain, mild to moderate fever, weakness, loss of appetite, and headaches," said dr. Dini.

However, if the symptoms are felt to be getting heavier or not improving, dr. Dini appealed to the public to immediately go to the clinic, the nearest health center or nearest hospital to get proper medical treatment.

It is important for the community to maintain food hygiene, from processing to recitation, and to ensure that food ingredients are in a fresh and perfect mature condition.

"This effort is expected to prevent cases of food poisoning that can endanger health," he said.
