Kahar's Condition, Bahlil Gives Amman Permit To Export Copper Concentrat For 6 Months
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed that he had recommended a copper concentrate export license to PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN). The permit was granted for 6 months after the permit was granted.
"Yes, maybe 6 months, until it's finished," Bahlil told the media crew, Friday, October 24.
Bahlil explained that this permit was granted on the basis of the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Permen ESDM) Number 6 of 2024 which was promulgated on May 30, 2024, regarding the additional export time of concentrate and anoda mud to business entities that have entered the commissioning stage in the construction of purification facilities.
"The regulation states that for companies that have built a smelter but have not been completed or due to grief, they are given the option to open exports," continued Bahlil.

Despite opening the export tap, Bahlil ensured that he would still impose sanctions in the form of high taxes on AMMN. Not without reason, according to him, this is done so that the company can accelerate the improvement of the smelter so that downstreaming can run.
Bahlil also said that his party gave a recommendation because there was a force majeur or majeur situation. This is evidenced by a statement from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters (Mabes) and a request for insurance for the fire incident. This report was then submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
"It's the same with Freeport yesterday. We also give an extension of time with a certain time limit," said Bahlil.
