Prevent Rob And Abrasi: The Embankment Of 10 Islands Embankments In The Thousand Islands Has Lasted 10 Days
The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-Department raised embankments on 10 resident islands in the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta. The construction of the embankment has been going on for 10 days.
The elevation of the embankment is carried out to anticipate the threat of tidal flooding and abrasion.
Kasudin SDA Kepulauan Seribu, Mustajab mengatakan, pekerjaan menaikkan embankment tersebut dilaksanakan secara swakelola, dengan melibatkan petugas Penyedia Jasa Lain Perorangan (PJLP) di masing-masing pulau.
"The results were very effective in holding back the waves, even before casting concrete," Mustajab said when confirmed, Friday, October 24, 2025.
Mustajab said that in the construction of the embankment, his party involved PJLP directly ranging from installation to arrangement of massive cubes prepared diagonal.

The ten islands that are locations for the elevation of the embankment include Untung Jawa Island, Payung Island, Lancang Island, Pari Island, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, Kelapa Island, Kelapa Dua Island, Harapan Island, and Sabira Island.
"There are locations affected by the tidal wave, some have been eroded by abrasion due to the west and east winds. The volume of work varies, ranging from 50 meters to 200 meters long," he said.
Meanwhile, continued Mustajab, one of the locations being worked on is Sentigi Beach, Untung Java Island, because the embankment of about 220 meters had collapsed due to tidal waves some time ago.
